James Deutch has joined AwesomenessTV to serve in a new role as creative director of branded entertainment.
Deutch comes to the teen-focused media company after years spent executive producing and creating TV series and feature films. His resume includes work on NBC’s “Fashion Star,” Bravo’s “Tabloid Wars,” MTV’s “Miss Seventeen,” and the Lionsgate film, “Rules of Attraction.”
As for branded video, Deutch has produced for the likes of General Motors, Home Depot, Macy’s, Express, and H&M.
Deutch has also served as vice president of programming partnerships at Hearst Entertainment, where he led the development of TV shows with brand partners. Hearst recently became a minority owner in AwesomenessTV, when it acquired a 25% stake in the digital network for $81.25 million.
