“Between,” an upcoming Netflix original series starring Jennette McCurdy (“Sam & Cat”), will premiere on the streaming service on May 21.
Created by Michael McGowan (“Still Mine”), “Between” is about a town under siege from a mysterious disease that wipes out everyone except those 21 years old and under. The series will explore the power vacuum that’s created when a government has quarantined an area and left its inhabitants to fend for themselves.
With a first season that encompasses six, hour-long episodes, “Between” is a Netflix original series in all territories the streaming service operates in outside of Canada. There, the series will premiere on Shomi, a rival SVOD service from media giants Rogers and Shaw, and local broadcast network City.
“Between” is produced by Don Carmody Television, Mulmur Feed Co. in association with Elevation Pictures Corp. McGowan will executive produce alongside Don Carmody (“Resident Evil”), David Cormican (“The Tall Man”), and Naveen Prasad, EVP and GM of Elevation Pictures Corp.
