Endemol Beyond USA, the domestic digital division of the newly formed Endemol Shine North America, has hired former Lionsgate and Participant Media executive Adrian Sexton as its new chief operating officer.
In the role, Sexton will be responsible for new strategic partnerships and investments, business development, strategy, sales, and distribution opportunities for the digital network. Based in Los Angeles, he will report to Will Keenan, president of Endemol Beyond USA.
Sexton comes to Endemol Beyond USA from Participant Media, where he was head of digital and helped launch the company’s “social action network” TakePart.com. Before that, he was head of digital and business development at Lionsgate, where he was part of a senior team that managed transactions and strategic deals with brands ranging from BMW to Google and Microsoft.
Endemol Beyond USA, which was launched by Endemol in 2013, is a multi-channel digital network that produces and distributes video content across a range of platforms, including YouTube, Yahoo, AOL, Roku, Dailymotion, and Amazon Fire TV. Its talent pool includes Michelle Phan, Pitbull, Brittany Furlan, Drea de Matteo, and Andy Milonakis.
