Chris Tucker’s first-ever stand-up comedy special will debut on Netflix on Friday, July 10.
The special, called “Chris Tucker Live,” will be available for streaming in all Netflix territories. Tucker’s performance spans impersonations and tales from his childhood. It was filmed at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, Georgia (where Tucker was born).
“Before people started seeing me in movies, I was doing standup,” Tucker said in a statement. “It’s always been a part of me, and now I’m excited to share it with my fans around the world.” The comedian/actor’s movie resume includes the Oscar-nominated “Silver Linings Playbook,” as well as “Money Talks,” and the blockbuster “Rush Hour” series.
“Chris Tucker Live” is the comedian’s first project with his own production company, Chris Tucker Entertainment. It was directed by Phil Joanou.
