Netflix has ordered a second season for “Bloodline,” a little over a week after the family drama first premiered on the streaming service.
Season two will go into production later this year, and is scheduled for a 2016 release across all territories Netflix is available in.
Created and executive produced by Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman, and Glenn Kessler, “Bloodline” follows a family in the Florida Keys whose lives take a turn for the worse when the black-sheep brother returns and exposes some of their secrets. Its cast includes Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini, Sam Shepard, Sissy Spacek, Norbert Leo Butz, Jamie McShane, and Jacinda Barrett.
The pickup continues Netflix’s streak of giving more than one season to each of its original series.
