VProud, a social video network for and by women that offers a troll-free environment, has partnered with the Indian slam poetry duo, BomBaebs.
Based in Mumbai, the two, female artists, Uppekha Jain and Pankhuri Awasthi, released a video last month called “#RapAgainstRape,” which sheds light on rape culture in their native country. On April 15, they went on to debut another video, which showcases their single “Echoes of Pain,” featuring the Sri Lankan American rapper DeLon. You can watch “#RapAgainstRape” below:
Per the partnership with VProud, BomBaebs will continue to produce their own videos and co-produce videos with VProud that will show up on the network and focus on topics like gender-based violence and prejudice as they affect women all over the world.
“BomBaebs embodies everything we value at VProud — creativity, bravery, honesty, and expressing their messages through video,” said VProud founder, Karen Cahn, in a statement. “We are committed to supporting the global female creative economy in video, especially feminists with inspiring, powerful messages to share.”
Since VProud is all about having conversations with feminist content creators in a safe, digital space, you can engage in discussion with BomBaebs on its website or watch their videos across Vessel, YouTube, Facebook, Tumblr, and Pinterest.
