Called “MLB Wednesdays,” the series on Snapchat includes footage from fans and the league alike, capturing highlights from a few MLB games that take place on Wednesdays each week. Some video of live correspondents also gets thrown into the “MLB Wednesdays” mix.
The series premiered on Snapchat on Wednesday, May 13, featuring a game between the Washington Nationals and the Arizona Diamondbacks. You can find it on the “live” section in Snapchat Stories, meaning it exists for 24 hours on the platform before it disappears.
Though other professional sports leagues have put their videos on Snapchat for 24 hours, Major League Baseball is the first to establish a regular series there. Meanwhile, ESPN is covering sports in Snapchat Discover, where it has its own, dedicated channel (which MLB does not).
