Announced by Lionsgate and Tribeca in October 2014, Tribeca Shortlist will offer a curated selection of critically-acclaimed films from around the world, including — but not limited to — titles in the Lionsgate and Tribeca libraries. In addition to feature-length and short prestige films, Shortlist will also offer original and exclusive content, including behind-the-scenes footage from “groundbreaking” independent films.
The service will also bring in “leading voices in contemporary culture” to curate their own “Shortlists” and provide commentary on their selections, the companies said.
Bronikowski is tasked with overseeing all of this as president. He comes to the service from Daily Burn, an IAC-owned company, where he was COO. His responsibilities there included overseeing the growth of Daily Burn’s subscription-based streaming fitness service. At UMG, Bronikowski served as SVP of business development, and led the company’s digital content strategy and digital media initiatives.
Tribeca Shortlist will enter a beta testing phase in July, with an official launch planned for the fall.
