AnyClip Media, a digital video and advertising tech company that specializes in helping content owners distribute and monetize video clips across thousands of sites, has hired former Fox and Charter executive Robert Quicksilver to be its chief content officer.
In the role, Quicksilver will be responsible for developing and securing “strategic business relationships” for AnyClip across “the global digital media ecosystem,” the company said. In other words, Quicksilver will be tasked with leveraging his vast experience in the TV and digital media business to help AnyClip ink partnerships with more content owners — from movie studios to advertisers — and publishers.
He will also have a hand in developing overall strategic initiatives for the company alongside other top executives.
Quicksilver comes to AnyClip with more than two decades of experience in TV and digital media. Most recently, he was EVP and chief administrative officer at Charter Communications, where he oversaw a number of divisions including ad sales. From 1999 to 2005, he was president of network distribution for Fox Broadcasting, overseeing all aspects of the business relationship between Fox and its US network of local affiliates.
Other roles include chief content officer for Tidal TV (before it rebranded as the video-ad tech company Videology), and a consultant on content strategy for Yahoo Media Group.

Content marketing is the name of the game for AnyClip, which has been consistently ranked in the top 10 by ComScore in its monthly charts of the top online video properties in the US. As video takes a central focus for online and mobile media, AnyClip wants to work with advertisers to seed their branded content on relevant sites and platforms within its distribution network.
