In the role, Winograd will spearhead development of new original series, as well as the expansion of existing series and video content, across Vox’s portfolio of sites, including Vox.com, The Verge, SB Nation, Eater, Racked, and Curbed. She will report to Chad Mumm, VP of Vox Entertainment.
Winograd comes to Vox from FremantleMedia North America. There, she was executive director of digital content for Tiny Riot, the company’s in-house digital production studio. Her responsibilities there involved development of content for FMNA’s digital partnerships with companies such as Vice Media, BroadbandTV, and StyleHaul.
Video has taken on a central role at Vox ever since the company raised $46.5 million last December from General Atlantic. Since then, Vox has launched Vox Entertainment to scale its video production and distribution capabilities, and has unveiled programming for sites such as Vox.com, The Verge, SB Nation, and Racked.
News of Winograd’s hire was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
