Wochit continues to grow internationally.
The video startup, which offers a cloud-based platform that can turn any blogger, publisher, or brand into a video creator in minutes, has inked a multi-year licensing deal with Agence France Presse. As a result of the deal, anyone using Wochit — including publishers, journalists, bloggers, YouTubers, and brands — now has the ability to add AFP content into videos they create on the platform.
Wochit has similar deals in place with the Associated Press, Getty Images, and Reuters, among others, to provide real-time news clips and photos for its clients to use.
One such client is NRC Q, a business news publication from Netherlands-based publishing giant NRC Media, which has signed on to use the Wochit platform. The NRC Q newsroom has incorporated Wochit into its daily workflow, creating news and business analysis videos that combine the publication’s own content with licensed footage available through Wochit, the companies said.
