Online video publishing platform provider Ooyala has announced the acquisition of media logistics software and services company Nativ, based in London, whose MioEverywhere media logistics platform adds a cloud-based workplace and process management service to the California company’s already rich publishing system.
MioEverywhere has the ability to remotely validate and securely ingest content from any source in a completely secure and transparent environment. As a key part of the process MioEverwhere validates content before it leaves the management console desktop to provide the assurance that video and audio files are in the right format and and aren’t missing anything important (like an audio track).
The acquisition comes at a time when Ooyala is makingstaregic purchases and alliances to grow its business to allocate new workflows, content sources and destination touchpoints. Last year, Ooyala joined forces with Telstra last year as well as purchasing Videoplaza last fall to continue to add pieces to its open, scalable video publishing framework.
