Multi-channel network MiTú announced today that it has partnered with cable channel NBC Universo on “Vive el Verano,” a series of summer-themed short-form content targeting Latino millennials.
Produced by MiTú, “Vive el Verano” will feature some of the MCN’s most popular talent, including El Guzii, Maiah Ocando, Luan Palomera, Luisito Comunica and Eddie G, dispensing do-it-yourself summer hacks relevant to young Latinos, covering electronics, must-have summer apps, fun backyard and pool ideas, grilling recipes and outdoor entertaining tips.
The series will air on NBC Universo on weekend afternoons beginning Aug. 1, and also be available via video on demand, the NBC Universo app and online at www.nbcuniverso.com
A division of NBC Universal, NBC Universo features sports, reality, music and entertainment programming, presented primarily in Spanish.
MiTú creates cross-platform programming in English, Spanish and Portuguese that reaches a global audience of more than 100 million. Headquartered in Santa Monica, Ca., it also has operations in Miami and Baja California, Mexico City and Bogota.
Last month, MiTú partnered with Discovery US Hispanic, the Spanish-language division of Discovery Communications, to produce a slate of original web and TV series featuring Latino digital video creators and social media influencers. Its other media partners include Televisa, AOL and Maker Studios.
