ICM Partners announced today that it has hired former BuzzFeed and Google exec Jonathan Perelman to head its digital initiatives. He will report to the agency’s president, Chris Silbermann.
Perelman will be charged with leading ICM’s efforts in the technology and digital sectors, as well as expanding its representation of digital content creators.
Keyvan Peymani, who has been managing director of the digital division since 2012, will transition to senior advisor to the ICM Partners Board in connection with ongoing initiatives.
As VP of motion pictures at BuzzFeed, Perelman created more than 20 syndication and content partnerships with global social platforms and portals. He also served as the VP of agency strategy and industry development for the company.
Prior to that, Perelman spent six years (2006–2012) at the New York offices of Google, working in business process and compliance and global industry relations.
Perelman also founded Lighthouse Group, an independent global media and entertainment advisory firm serving start-ups. Perelman has been featured in AdWeek as a Top 50 Media & Advertising Executive, as well as in VideoInk as a Dealmaker of the Year. He also serves as a board member to a number of start-up companies, including Spot.IM and The 74 Media.
ICM Partners also announced today that it has promoted Bennett Sherman (pictured, left) to agent in the digital department. Sherman has been with the agency for five years, most recently serving as an associate to further the efforts of the department.
