Maria Bamford’s upcoming Netflix original comedy series “Lady Dynamite” has its cast, according to an announcement from the streaming giant.
The original comedy series, which will feature vignettes from “what Bamford has accepted to be her life,” will have an all-star cast, including several Netflix original veterans. Patton Oswalt, Ana Gasteyer, Jon Cryer, Mira Sorvino, Brandon Routh, Adam Pally, Dean Cain, Sarah Silverman and Jenny Slate are all set to appear. It will also guest star comedian Tig Notaro, who was recently the subject of the Netflix original “Tig,” a documentary feature about her stand-up career following a devastating cancer diagnosis. Actress June Diane Raphael, who currently stars in the Jane Fonda and Lilly Tomlin-headlined Netflix original “Grace and Frankie,” will also be featured.
The series will be executive produced by Bamford, along with Pam Brady and Mitch Hurvitz. The show is part of the same multi-project deal that will see Hurvitz once again resurrect his cult classic show “Arrested Development” on the streaming platform. Bamford previously worked with Hurvitz as a featured guest star on the original “Arrested” revival for Netflix.
