Netflix announced today that its new original sketch comedy series “W/ BOB & DAVID,” starring Bob Odenkirk ad David Cross, will premiere on the streaming service on Nov. 13. The show was
First announced in April, the will consist of four new 30-minute episodes featuring Odenkirk and Cross, along with Paul F. Tompkins, Jill Talley, Jay Johnston, John Ennis and Brian Posehn.
The duo previously paired for the sketch comedy series “Mr. Show with Bob & David,” which was produced for HBO from 1995 to 1998. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in April, Odenkirk described “W/ BOB & DAVID” as “a little more unmoored than ‘Mr. Show,’” “simpler in construction” and “lighter on its feet [and] quicker moving.”
Cross and Odenkirk write “W/ BOB & DAVID,” as well as executive produce alongside Marc Provissiero and Naomi Odenkirk of Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment, Tim Sarkes of Brillstein Entertainment Partners, Dave Kneebone, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim.
Cross has previously worked with Netflix as one of the stars of its 2013 revival of “Arrested Development,” which originally ran on Fox from 2003 to 2006.
Odenkirk currently stars in AMC’s “Breaking Bad” spin-off “Better Call Saul,” which is expected to premiere its second season in Feb. 2016.
