Endemol Beyond USA announced today that is teaming with Nylon and Just Entertainment Studios for a multi-platform partnership that includes a first-look development deal and programming cross-promotion.
Per the terms of the deal, parent company Endemol Shine North America and Just Entertainment will have a first-look at developing all potential scripted, unscripted and digital projects for Nylon, a millennial-targeting multi-platform producer of fashion, beauty, music and pop culture content. Endemol Beyond USA and Nylon will also cross-distribute and cross-promote content across their various platforms, including YouTube, Facebook and Vessel. T
The companies will work together to produce a new long-form series about Nylon, and Nylon will be the launch partner for Just Entertainment’s upcoming e-commerce series “She’s Gotta Have It,” co-developed by Endemol Beyond’s Icon Network.
Although it is known primarily as a print and web publication, Nylon has dipped its toes into content production. Last year, it teamed with Maker Studios on its first scripted drama series, the 10-episode “Oh, You Pretty Things,” starring Francesca Eastwood (daughter of Clint and actress Frances Fisher).
Just Entertainment is an L.A.-based production company focused on unscripted television, branded entertainment and digital content. It is headed by Justin Hochberg, whose credits include Spike TV’s “Hiring Squad,” ReelzChannel’s “Race to the Scene” and USA Network’s “NFL Characters Unite.” The shows were made through his previous prodco, Hochberg Ebersol Co., which he co-founded with Charlie Ebersol, the son of producer Dick Ebersol (“NBC Sunday Night Football,” “Saturday Night Live”) and actress Susan Saint James (“Kate & Allie,” “McMillan & Wife”).
In July, Just Entertainment signed a multi-platform deal with Endemol Shine North America to produce what it referred to as the “next generation of global TV formats.”
Under the exclusive pact, Hochberg and his Just Entertainment Studio team will develop the “next generation of global TV formats,”
