Derek Ferguson has joined Sean “Diddy” Combs Revolt Media as COO, the company announced today.

In his new role, he will work in tandem with Revolt CEO Keith Clinkscales to grow the digital media outlet — which includes the popular Revolt YouTube channel (78K subscribers) — as a name in digital music.
In a statement, Clinkscales endorsed the appointment of his longtime colleague, saying, “Derek Ferguson’s familiarity with building global brands from their inception extends decades and we are thrilled to have him join the Revolt family.”
Ferguson previously served as VP of finance and operations for BMG Special Products, a division of BMG Entertainment. He has also served as CCO of Urban Profile Communications Inc., a magazine which he co-founded along with Clinkscales.
