Digital comedy series “MsLabelled” is getting a boost thanks to Tetley Tea, which is signing on as a sponsor for its second season.
The deal was announced in an joint statement by “MsLabelled” stakeholders Shaw Media and Smokebomb Entertainment and shift2, the digital studio and brand agency arms of Shaftesbury. The series will air its second season on Slice.ca, the women’s digital destination operated by the Slice Network, and the VerveGirl YouTube channel. It will be reedited for television broadcast on Slice’s linear channel later this year.
“MsLabelled” follows Ella (Rebecca Liddiard), an intern, and Anna (Sara Hennessey), a designer, as they try to make their mark in the fast-paced world of fashion as employees at fictional Label magazine. The second season will find the leads divided over the launch of an upstart fashion blog that’s been spilling insider secrets.
Jay Bennett, VP and creative director at Smokebomb Entertainment, lauded the series for its brand integrations and multi-platform potential in a statement. saying, “By creating branded entertainment series like ‘MsLabelled’ that work across both traditional and non-traditional media platforms, we are offering a new content model for broadcast and brand partners to engage their target audiences in entirely new ways.”
