Muvi Studio, which provides cloud-based video streaming solutions, is coming to Roku with the launch of its dedicated app on the platform.
Muvi Studio clients will now be able to access its services and tools directly through the Roku streaming devices to streamline their access to the platform. Muvi offers TV networks, broadcasters, and studio the ability to launch their own custom VOD services without the hassle of coding and supporting their streaming portals in house. The service is currently available on Apple TV and Chromecast. The addition of Roku adds another outlet for broadcasters looking to move into multi-screen distribution.
Muvi Studio is one of a growing number of services providing bespoke streaming solutions for broadcasters and networks trying to meet the challenges of an increasingly streaming-centric world. Muvi recently helped Malaysian television outlet HTV go over the top and rolled out a new suite of tools specifically designed to help broadcasters join the live streaming trend.
