Arts network Ovation TV announced today that it is teaming with lifestyle multi-channel network Kin Community to create the half-hour, cross-platform special “Holiday Entertaining with Kin Community.”
It will premiere on Ovation TV on Wed., Nov. 18, at 10 p.m.. ET and be available in various formats on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. Following its U.S. premiere, it will air in Canada on Corus Entertainment’s women’s channels, including W Network and CosmoTV.
Hosted by lifestyle creator Kelly Bryson Pearce (pictured), “Holiday Entertaining with Kin Community” will feature segments from Kin Community’s creators tacking everything from eggnog (Rachel and Byron Talbott) to egg frittata with roasted potatoes (Entertaining with Beth).
Video segments from the 30-minute special will be re-edited for distribution on the creators’ social pages, as well as on Kin Community’s network of outlets.
“This year, we have been focusing on ways we can expand our digital footprint and bridge the gap between what we do on our linear channel with what creatives are doing online,” said Liz Janneman, EVP of network strategy for Ovation, in a statement. “The holiday special has appeal for a multi-generational audience and helps us explore ways to reach new viewers via multiple platforms and across borders.”

It also provides tips, training, marketing support and on-air promotion via Ovation’s linear, digital, and social platform. Creative Studio has an initial round of 50-plus projects for potential funding, including on from will.i.am’s i.am.angel Foundation.
