With its focus on fashion and lifestyle content, the aptly-named StyleHaul anticipated some of the biggest trends in short-form digital content in recent years. From the importance of brand partnerships to the massive surge in lifestyle content, the MCN has been on the leading edge of the content wars both with its network of affiliated YouTube content creators and with its original content offerings.
For today’s Web Series Wednesday we selected five of the most compelling original series in the StyleHaul catalog to give readers a taste of what it has to offer.
The latest original series from “Lizzie Bennet Diaries” creator Bernie Su, “Vanity” takes fans inside a heightened version of the world of high fashion, packed with scheming, intrigue, and murder. The series features a cast of familiar web series favorites including Denise Richards, in her first scripted digital role.
Lisa Kudrow’s original series “Web Therapy” wasn’t created by StyleHaul, but it did find an ideal home there after leaving Lexus backed L Studio in 2014. The series features Kudrow as Dr. Fiona Wallice, a self-absorbed therapist who conducts her sessions via web cam with a rotating cast of celebrity clients. The series found new life on StyleHaul by adding YouTube stars such as Caspar Lee to Fiona’s client roster.
Alfie Deyes, Jim Chapman, Marcus Butler and Caspar Lee, four of YouTube’s most popular heartthrobs, come together to talk about dating, relationships, and girls in this original series. The guys answer all the questions on their young fan’s minds and dig deep on what it is they want in a relationship.
