Global multi-channel network Collective Studio 71 announced today that it is hiring Adam Boorstin as EVP of global distribution.
Collective Studio 71 (CS71) was formed by the merger of Collective Digital Studio (CDS) and ProSiebenSat.1’s Studio 71, Germany’s largest MCN, in July, but by all appearances the two companies have continued to operate as separate entities over the ensuing months.
Borstin comes to CS71 from BuzzFeed, where he was the 15th video employee. Most recently, he served as the head of partnerships for BuzzFeed Motion Pictures, leading a team that developed and managed BuzzFeed’s relationships with more than two dozen distribution platforms, including YouTube, Yahoo, MSN, Comcast and Verizon Go90, as well as global partners in Germany, France, China and Turkey. Prior to BuzzFeed, Boorstin worked in Disney’s Theatrical Marketing Department and CAA’s Film Finance Group.
With CS71, Boorstin will be responsible for establishing new partnerships with domestic and international distributors, while also exploring exclusive custom content deals for CS71 creators with VOD, SVOD and OTT platforms.
