Multi-platform production company and multi-channel network AwesomessnessTV has signed an international SVOD distribution deal with video services provider Vubiquity for the Middle East, Africa, Southeastern Europe and Latin America (excluding Brazil).
The deal includes AwesomenessTV series such as “Fifth Harmony Takeover,” “DIY or DI-Don’t!,” Hey Guys, It’s Meg!,” “Makeup Mythbusters,” “Amanda Steele’s The Social Life,” “Cheerhab,” “My Dream Quinceañera” and “IMO.” Approximately 130 hours of content will be accessible via Vubiquity-powered SVOD platforms in many of the countries covered by the deal.
“Non-traditional programming is extremely popular in emerging markets amongst young audiences and AwesomenessTV has created terrific, popular shows and is shaping the type of content that the next generation expects,” said Rob Jacobson, chief content officer for Vubiquity, in a statement. “This deal gives our clients the opportunity not only to meet customer demands but also to get ahead of their competition.
Based in Virginia, Vubiquity offers range of managed services for major media providers, including digital and OTT distribution, from licensing to delivery.
Last week, AwesomenessTV announced another international deal that will have it working with its parent company DreamWorks Animation to create 130 hours of original content that will air on DHX Television’s owned and operated linear channels in Canada and be distributed globally to other outlets.
