L.A.-based digital studio and social influencer network Collab announced today that it has appointed Eric Jacks as chief strategy officer.
Jacks has done stints at Rogers & Cowan, where he headed the p.r. firm’s entertainment and intellectual property group and CAA, where he was an agent managing global brand partnerships as part of its lifestyle talent division and digital content team.
Earlier in his career, Jacks served in executive producer and senior account and strategy roles at a variety of agencies and marketing companies, including Broadcast.com and Yahoo.
Launched in 2012 by a trio of brothers, James, Tyler and Will McFadden, Collab uses proprietary software and analytics to help creators better monetize their audience across social platforms. It also works with select creators and brands to produce premium shows for TV and OTT platforms. Its network includes over 350 social influencers reaching 450M fans, and its in-house content team produces original projects for a diverse array of companies including Spike, the NFL Player’s Association and Spotify. With offices in both L.A. and Korea, it employs more than 60 people globally.
At Collab, Jacks will oversee all industry relationships between brands, agencies and entertainment partners and expand upon its strategic multi-platform partnerships, help grow its talent roster, and monitor the competitive landscape in global markets.
