At the moment, YouTube Red subscriptions are available only in the U.S. Its original movies and series can be purchased in a multitude of countries around the globe, but if you live in Tanzania or Belarus anywhere else outside of America and you want to use the service to stream YouTube videos ad-free, you’re out of luck.
That is, if you want to play by the rules.
As Estonian YouTuber Siim Kuusik explains in the video below, there is a workaround.
According to Kuusik, to subscribe to YouTube Red outside the U.S., you’ll need:
A U.S.-based credit card.
Access to a VPN service that can provided a U.S.-based IP address.
