Machinima is giving fans a preview of its live-action Go90 miniseries “Street Fighter: Resurrection” in a new trailer (below), released today. The company also revealed that the five-episode mini — first announced in December — will debut on March 15.
The miniseries was produced by World Warrior Limited with Machinima Studios, in association with video game maker Capcom.
“Street Fighter: Resurrection” is inspired by the Capcom video game series franchise, which released its latest installment, “Street Fighter V,” on Feb. 16.
The project is a sequel to the Machinima series “Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist” (2014), reuniting its creative team, including producers Jacqueline Quella and Mark Wooding, writer/director Joey Ansah and stars Mike Moh (“Empire”) and Christian Howard (“The World’s End”), who will reprise their roles as Ryu and Ken, respectively.
“Street Fighter: Resurrection” also features cameos from top Machinima influencers including Amy Johnston of Bat In The Sun Productions (1.5M YouTube subscribers; 435K Facebook fans) and Terroriser, who is best known for his auto-tuning gaming videos and vlog series (1.35M YouTube subscribers; 467K Twitter followers; 363K Instagram followers).
