Netflix is bringing the world a season two of “Scrotal Recall.” Today, the streaming giant announced a deal with BBC Worldwide North America, the commercial arm of the BBC, for eight new episodes of the series that will be produced by Clerkenwell Films (“Misfits,” “Not Safe for Work,” “The Aliens”) and debut globally on Netflix.
Shot in Glasgow, Scotland, season one of “Scrotal Recall” followed the exploits of Dylan Witter (Johnny Flynn), a hapless 20-something who, after discovering he has contracted an STD, resolves to contact everyone he’s ever slept with to tell them the news.
Season one of “Scrotal Recall” premiered on the U.K.’s Channel 4 in Oct. 2014. It can currently be seen on Netflix in the U.S. and Canada, and it will be available globally on the platform later this year.
Flynn will return for season two along with co-stars Antonia Thomas and Daniel Ings and series creator Tom Edge, who will serve as executive producer along with Murray Ferguson, Andy Baker and Ed Macdonald.
