Maker Studios’ synergy with parent company Disney takes another step forward with its new series “Marvel’s Off the Rack,” produced with fellow Disney subsidiary Marvel Entertainment, which debuts on April 13 on Verizon’s ad-supported Go90 mobile entertainment platform.
Hosted by Maker Studios network member Comic Book Girl 19, “Marvel’s Off the Rack” is a comedic talk show featuring stars from both the digital and traditional worlds including rapper Method Man, voice actor Billy West (“Ren & Stimpy”) and Paul Scheer (“The League,” “The Hotwives of Orlando”) discussing and defending their fandoms and loyalties within the Marvel universe. Other guests will include Maker Studios talent Commander Holly, Strawburry17, Alphacat and Comicstorian
The 12-episode series will air weekly through the end of June.
“Marvel’s Off the Rack” is one of several Maker Studios series produced exclusively for Go90, including “Prank School with Rahat, which debuted on April 1; “Defining Beauty,” exploring diversity, natural hair and redefining today’s beauty standards; the travel adventure show “Geekender”; video game-inspired go-kart race “Polaris Grand Prix”; and two untitled projects — one by the “America’s Best Dance Crew” season one winners The Jabbawockeez, and another exploring the world of fantasy gameplay and the creativity that gaming inspires.
Go90 is also home to Maker’s on-demand platform, offering of thousands of short-form videos refreshed monthly from its content library, along with more than 100 hours of live Maker event coverage from major fan events.
