If sex sells, and comedy delights then the new campaign for Michael Strahan’s underwear from MSX by Michael Strahan, a men’s athleisure clothing line at JCPenney, may just have a big hit in store.
Produced by Above Average in partnership with Content Collective, the two-part short-form series directed by Oren Brimer ( HBO’s “Crashing”) and starring comedians Casey Jost (“Inside Amy Schumer “) and Jon Rudnitsky (“Saturday Night Live”) comedically portrays the confidence-boosting (or deflating) situations faced by men in their briefs. Both episodes — “Locked Out In Your Underwear” and “The Master of Conference Calls” premiered today on Above Average’s video channels.
“While the storylines are unconnected, both digital shorts center around universally relatable truths and comically communicate a similar message about personal style — that it’s what’s under your pants that counts (underwear obviously),” said an Above Average spokesperson.
Content Collective represents JCPenney and tapped Above Average to produce the series for the department store brand.
