HTC Launches Liveport VR Subscription Service For $6.99
HTC will be launching its Viveport subscription service for virtual reality games and experiences on Tuesday. Consumers who subscribe to the new service will be able to download up to five titles every month for a flat fee of $6.99. HTC is also going to sell the Vive headset for $100 off its regular $799 retail price this coming Tuesday.
USA Network’s Eric Lehrman Heads to Wattpad Studios As Head of Content Development
Eric Lehrman, previously VP of original scripted programming at NBCUniversal’s USA Network, moves to Wattpad as head of content development. In addition, the Toronto-based company announced that it has hired former head of the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.’s digital creator network, Abby Ho, as its new head of the Wattpad Stars.
Netflix Brings Offline Viewing to Windows 10
After adding support for offline viewing on iOS and Android late last year, Netflix is bringing the same feature to Windows 10, with the exception of Windows 10 mobile devices. Now a subset of the Netflix catalog can be downloaded to a windows PC or tablet, in order to be viewed when a network connection is not available
Molotov, the TV Streaming App, Has Reached 1M Users
Molotov, the French startup, which is only available in France, now has one million registered users on the platform. On average, users spend 80 minutes per day on the platform, which is available on smartphones, tablets, computers and TVs. The service combines live TV with catch-up services, a cloud DVR and a powerful search feature.
Spotify Acquires Content Recommendation Start-Up MightyTV OWNZONES Media Network (OMN) has signed an agreement with Amazon to make OWNZONES available on the Amazon Fire TV Stick. This raises the total of OWNZONES app offerings to 11 platforms in less than a 12-month period and strengthens the options for the company’s White Label apps solutions.

Roku Offers Audience Guarantees to Advertisers
Roku is introducing audience guarantees for advertisers buying commercial inventory on the over-the-top platform. Roku’s guarantees will be based on Nielsen’s Digital Ad Ratings and will guarantee that advertisers don’t pay for audiences outside their targets, said Scott Rosenberg, senior VP-advertising, Roku.
