It’s been eight months since Comcast announced its initial slate of programming on its OTT streaming destination — Watchable — and the company is moving forward with additional renewals. The company has announced it will pick up a second season of mitu’s “Cholos Try” — an unscripted series in which “cholos” try different experiences like eating kale, or trying vegan food.
According to Craig Parks, Comcast’s VP of Programming for Watchable, the series is one of the platform’s most watched series. Production on the 10-episodes for the second season is already underway with an expected release of fall this year.
The renewal marks Comcast’s second to be announced since its initial slate announcement last Fall. “Following last month’s announcement that Logan Paul will come back to Watchable for a second season, [this] news futher underscores our dedication to taking risks, pushing the envelope and delivering the most engaging original content from both up-and-coming and accomplished digital players,” said Parks.
