Over the last year, under the leadership of Sebastien Burkhardt, Keshet Digital Studios has made its way into the bracket of must-know digital media companies. Through its digital deals with companies like Interscope, New Form and Insurrection Media, Keshet’s digital business continues to heat up.
And, with a slate of half a dozen projects in various stages of production and development, the global studio is ready to ramp its team, starting with the hires of a new creative director and VP of development — Pasa Mustafa and Heather Brewster, respectively. Both will lead Keshet Digital Studio’s agenda to expand its original programming as cord cutting trends, reporting to Burkhardt, SVP Digital and Acquisitions for KDS and its parent Keshet International.
“Pasa and Heather [bring] us a wealth of experience and credentials in the digital programming space,” Burkhardt said on the hires.
An award-winning creator, Mustafa comes to KDS following time as head of digital originals for Endemol and has produced acclaimed formats for a variety of digital brands including Samsung, Xbox and MSN, and Nokia. Brewster, who will lead development for KDS in Los Angeles, was among the original team behind Fullscreen’s SVOD service and is credited with bringing in “Electra Woman and Dyna Girl”, and “Filthy Preppy Teens”. She also produced Fullscreen’s first feature “#O2L Forever.”
“Developing best-in-class original programming for cord-cutting millennial audiences is an integral part of this plan,” added Burkehardt. “With seasoned and respected digital development executives like we are on track to deliver a phenomenal slate of engaging, boundary-pushing creative alongside a broad range of partners, both in the US and internationally.”
