Former SVP of Programming and Production at Legendary Digital Networks (LDN), Steven Hein, has joined NBC as its new Senior Vice President of Digital Content. In this new role, Hein will oversee the development and production of native content across digital platforms, including high-profile projects such as “World of Dance on Snapchat,” Season 3 of “The Voice on Snapchat” and digital extensions to support NBC’s fall line-up, including the return of “Will & Grace” and the second season of “This Is Us.”
“Steven brings a wealth of experience developing and producing world class digital content in today’s rapidly evolving television landscape.” said Rob Hayes, Executive Vice President of Digital at NBC Entertainment, who Hein will now report to. “He will be instrumental in helping grow our multiplatform presence and advance our digital strategy.”
While working at LDN, the veteran digital executive supervised video content for multiplatform media companies such as Nerdist, Geek & Sundry, and Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls. He was also part of the team that launched Alpha, LDN’s interactive SVOD service.
Prior to LDN, Hein spent seven years at 20th Century Fox where he supported the development and production of made-for-digital films and series. Additionally, he helped create Fox’s digital studio and served as its Vice President of Production.
