Like YouTube Space LA, Verizon Partners Can Access Full-Stack World-Class Facility
Verizon and Yahoo’s LA-based teams are merging now that the deal for Verizon to buy the online media company found the finish line. Verizon’s go90 and OATH teams are moving from Verizon Digital Networks office space off Washington Blvd to Yahoo’s world-class facility, both in Playa Vista.
The teams merged under the recently-formed umbrella brand — OATH , which includes AOL’s former business and its acquired companies including RYOT, now Verizon’s in-house creative agency.
And starting this Summer, Verizon will open Yahoo’s facility — now being called OATH Studios, to its partners and the creative community for use much in the way YouTube Space LA has been available to YouTube creators.
In 2015, Yahoo relocated its LA team to the Silicon Beach hub in Playa Vista, where other tech titans like Google, Verizon, Fullscreen and Facebook have also taken residency. To support its aggressive (at the time) video plans, Yahoo also constructed a state-of-the art studio facility in 2016 stacked with high dollar live broadcasting suites to support Katie Couric’s live talk format as well as its other live initiatives. The facility also includes sound stages, VR capture stages, editing bays and TV control rooms.
Partners looking to use the facility can find out more here.
