Twentieth Century Fox Films and Annapurna Ink MultiYear Home Entertainment Deal
Annapurna and Twentieth Century Fox Films have inked a multiyear home entertainment deal. Under the new agreement, Fox will service the U.S. home entertainment rights for all Annapurna-produced pictures across physical, Digital HD and TVOD platforms. Kathryn Bigelow’s “Detroit,” opening Aug. 4th, will be the first film released under the new deal.

France’s leading telco Orange and pay-TV group Canal Plus are teaming up to launch Canal + Essentiel, a new package that will make Canal Plus core channels available to Orange’s fiber customers. Under a new agreement with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, Hulu is now the exclusive subscription VOD home to the full run of “Bob’s Burgers” and “The Cleveland Show.” Additionally, Hulu will add the complete library of “Futurama” and “American Dad” to its service.
Starz Play Arabia to Expand Beyond the Middle East After New Funding
Starz Play Arabia, the Starz-branded OTT service outside the U.S., is expanding beyond the Middle East and North Africa after a second round of funding that pushes total investment in the service to $125 million. Starz Arabia was first launched in 2015.
