fuboTV, a sports focused streaming platform trying to give ESPN a run for its money, has appointed Ben Grad as North American head of content strategy and acquisition — a newly created position at the company. Most recently, Grad worked with Verizon as its executive director of content strategy and acquisition.
In this role, Grad will be responsible for content acquisition strategy, packaging, affiliate relations, and contract negotiations with fuboTV’s North American content partners. He will also spearhead the company’s development of a new viewership analytics platform, and will provide content-related insights and direction for fubo’s business development, product, and marketing efforts.
Grad will be based in fuboTV’s new headquarters in New York City and report to Chief Financial Officer Joel Armijo.
“Ben’s deep industry insight, energy and proven track record is the perfect addition to fuboTV’s pioneering sports-first service,” said Armijo. “We’re thrilled to have such an accomplished and respected executive joining our ranks and leading our North American content strategy efforts.”
