OWNZONES Media Network, the OTT EntTech company, has entered a strategic digital partnership with Zoomin.TV, a leading global publisher of online video content targeting Generation Z viewers. The goal of the new partnership is too help Zoomin.TV reach Gen Z in their natural environment — the cell phone.
Born in the time between the early 1990’s and the mid-2000s, the Gen Z population is expected to reach 2.56 billion globally by 2020. Within the US, Gen Z will reach 84.7 million by 2020, making up 24.7% of the American population. Out of this generation 96% own smartphones and close to half of those that do are connected online for about 10 hours a day, giving both OWNZONES and Zoomin.TV a lot of ground to cover.
Under the terms of the three-year agreement, OWNZONES will build at least 10 dedicated Zoomin.TV Apps that will allow the publisher to penetrate the mobile and OTT landscape. In turn, Zoomin.TV will create content for the entTech company’s media content and network platforms.

Zoomin.TV publishes more than 400 videos in 20+ languages daily, collaborating with some 3,500 freelance video journalists (VJs) and story hunters all around the globe. OWNZONES will develop numerous dedicated apps for Android, iOS, Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire to bring this content into the OTT landscape for the first time.

Zoomin.TV will become a strategic customer on OWNZONES’ new OTT platform interface. The OWNZONES Connect console, which is already being used as a media logistics platform, has been extended to encompass OTT app content management, analytics, monetization and user behavior insights. The company believes these features will be invaluable as the Zoomin.TV apps roll out, enabling the publisher to move quickly in maximizing its OTT opportunity.
Additionally, OWNZONES will rely on Zoomin.TV’s expertise in producing Gen Z-targeted content to create new programming for its own OWNZONES OTT networks, including the premium, ad-supported cannabis lifestyle channel, 420TV, which is due to launch in early 2018.
