Just because the SVOD arm of Fullscreen Media is slowly falling off, doesn’t mean the Otter Media-owned company has lost momentum on its other areas of business. This morning the company announced a new television and film development deal with YouTube star Andrea Russett (pictured), under which Fullscreen will create, develop and pitch scripted and unscripted projects for Russett.
“Andrea is one of Fullscreen’s homegrown talent and we are incredibly excited to watch her career evolve,” said Beau Bryant, Fullscreen General Manager. “This deal further demonstrates our belief in Andrea’s continued growth into traditional, mainstream entertainment projects and our strategy of dedicating additional resources for our key talent.”
Russett got her start on a nationally syndicated radio talk show and quickly became a market-leading millennial female voice when she pivoted to video content. Since then, she has amassed over 2.8 million fans that subscribe to her YouTube channel, and has landed her deals with L’Oreal, Fox, and Universal Studios.
