DreamworksTV, the child-focused YouTube channel from AwesomenessTV, is taking its content to Amazon Channels. There the digital channel will premiere several new shows exclusive to the platform including “Schneck & Eck Crack the Case,” “Action Figures in Action,” “Secret Agent Challenge” and “Neighborhood Super Watch.”
This distribution deal is the company’s first venture beyond YouTube since launching on the platform in 2014. The new channel, which is targeted at viewers aged 6-12, will cost $4.99/mo after a seven-day free trial period for members of Prime.
DreamWorksTV currently has 3.7 million subscribers on YouTube with and has produced more than 100 live-action and animated series. Some of the channels most popular content includes “Life Hacks for Kids” and “Junk Drawer Magic,” which earns an average of one million views per week on YouTube.
AwesomenessTV is a joint venture between Comcast-owned Dreamworks New Media (51%) and Verizon Hearst Media Partners (49%).
