Google just took another step towards making its OTT TV service available on every streaming device. Today YouTube TV, which is available in almost 100 different metro areas, has been made available on both Roku and Apple TV. Until today, YouTube TV was one of the only live OTT TV services not available via Roku.
The online TV service can also be downloaded for Chromecast, Android TV, Xbox One and newer Samsung and LG TVs. The service lets subscribers view more than 40 channels live, with options like CBS, Fox, NBC, CBS, USA, ESPN, Fox Sports and NBCSN. Users can also add on Showtime for an extra fee on top of the monthly $35 monthly cost.
In addition to today’s announcement, it has recently been speculated that YouTube TV may soon be hosting digital first channels. For more info click here.
