Last week, YouTube announced that it would be temporarily demonetizing Logan Paul’s channel because the YouTuber: “exhibited a pattern of behavior in his videos that makes his channel not only unsuitable for advertisers, but also potentially damaging to the broader creator community.”
Despite the decision being a temporary one, many on the internet expressed excitement over the announcement. But this morning, only three days after the demonetization announcement, Paul’s Channel is still sprinkled with ads.
A Redditor by the name of Tudo_Dito made the discovery when viewing a video that Paul posted this morning. The Redditor posted a screenshot from the video on a subreddit dedicated to YouTube.
In the screenshot, an ad marker can be seen at the beginning of the video’s timeline and, to the right of the video, another ad.
No ads popped up after personally reviewing Paul’s video, however, some in the comment section had a different experience.
Overall, those encountering ads on the YouTuber’s channel seems to be limited to a small group of random viewers.
Though it doesn’t seem to have a definite answer as to why ads are still appearing on Paul’s channel, Youtube said it is working on fixing the problem.
“In line with our announcement last week, we’re suspending ads on Logan Paul’s channels. We’re aware that there are a few instances where people have still seen ads and we’re working to remove them,” a Youtube Spokesperson told VideoInk.
