Bidslate, a global content rights platform, has inked its first-ever deal with Gaia, a global digital video streaming service, for “The Immortal Path: The Tao of Tao Chi Chuan.” The feature-length martial arts documentary, produced by Empty Mind Films, will be available to stream worldwide for five years through Gaia’s streaming platform.
In “The Immortal Path: The Tao of Tai Chi Chuan,” the Tao and the varying styles of Wudang Martial Arts are explored with Wudang Kungfu grandmaster and Taoist priest Zhong Yun Long.
“The Tao Te Ching tells us that everything in the universe changes and is the balance of Yin and Yang,” says Long. “This is also the heart of Tai Chi Chaun.”
“We’re excited to find a home for “The Immortal Path” with Gaia, whose unique, member-supported mission to inspire resonates around the world,” says Roland Rojas, President of BidSlate. “And, as a content platform, we’re continually searching for programming that inspires and helps to create a more mindful planet.”
Gaia, which costs about $10/mo, specializes in serving content with the aim of inspiring and encouraging curiosity.
“Gaia is here with some new ideas and the world’s largest resource of conscious media to – well –
empower the evolution of consciousness,” the company states on its website. “That’s a rather massive vision, but truthfully, it’s why we do what we do at Gaia. We want to create a new reality, one of mindful people living in harmony with our environment and each other.”
