Otter Media-owned Fullscreen has acquired Reelio, an influencer marketing platform that uses data-driven technology to help brands, agencies, and publishers reach millennial and Gen Z audiences. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Effective immediately, the Reelio platform, which uses data-driven automation and AI to connect brands and influencers, will be integrated into Fullscreen. Reelio’s existing clients will continue to have access to its platform, along with the full spectrum of Fullscreen brand services to deliver even more value. Fullscreen’s General Manager Pete Stein will oversee the acquisition.
“The integration of Reelio’s platform into our network brings us one step closer to building a complete solution for the future of brand marketing, which we believe will be social-first and content-driven,” said Stein. “The strength of Reelio’s data, technology, and team will be a huge asset to our company, and we’re excited to work alongside them as we continue to enhance our influencer marketing offerings.”
Founded in 2012, Reelio has raised $8 million in funding from investors including the VC firms of Philipp Schindler, Lorne Michaels, e.ventures, Tremor Video founders Jason Glickman and Andrew Reis, and former Sony Music president Thomas Hesse.
All 50 of the company’s employees will be joining Fullscreen.
