In this episode, we discuss the technical and creative changes in the gaming industry over the last 25 years, but note that the most significant shift has been cultural. Gone are the days of the nerdy “loner sitting in the basement” – gaming is now mainstream, social, interactive, and BIG business. Greg advises aspiring game developers to work on multiple titles and avoid getting tied down to a specific platform, and finally, we discuss the future of esports, the appropriate “play pattern” for VR gaming experiences, and voice recognition technology’s impact on the gaming industry.
