This 4th of July, viewers tuned into IFC’s cable and satellite channel will be treated to new episodes of All Def Media’s “Dad Jokes.”
All Def Media is bringing some of its content to the linear world via a new partnership with IFC, the American cable and satellite television channel. Under the agreement, All Def will create all-new versions of its well-known “Dad Jokes” digital series that will air during IFC’s “National Lampoon Vacation” movie marathon.
The marathon starts tomorrow at 3:00pm ET with the 1983 film “National Lampoon’s Vacation,” starring Chevy Chase, Beverly D’Angelo, and Imogene Coca.
“This partnership with IFC is a great, organic fit for our #1 franchise ‘Dad Jokes’ and we had a fun time creating these hilarious interstitials for their Vacation 4th of July marathon,” said Chris Blackwell, President and Chief Digital Officer for All Def Media. “IFC is known for their comedy programming and this is the perfect partnership to extend our brand and introduce All Def and ‘Dad Jokes’ to new fans.”
Clips of “Dad Jokes” will play throughout the marathon in between the films and during select commercial breaks.
“Dad Jokes” has experienced much success on video platforms like Facebook Watch, where the show’s page has close to 1 million followers. Since its debut, the series has generated more than 340MM views and averages 9 million monthly engagements across Facebook and YouTube.
Franchise series from All Def Media, which claims to have more than 300 million monthly visitors across its social platforms, include “Roast Me,” “Dad Jokes,” “Squadd Live,” “Arts & Raps,” “Traffic Jams,” and the newly announced series “Crossroads” and “Plan B.”
