Turner Sports has expanded the role of Hania Poole (pictured), who was originally the VP of business operations of NCAA Digital at the company, to include GM of Bleacher Report Live, the company’s recently launched streaming service.
In the expanded role, Poole, who will continue to report to Mark Johnson, SVP and GM of digital at Turner Sports, will oversee all aspects of NCAA Digital, while also heading B/R Live. As GM of B/R Live, Poole is responsible for product development, content acquisition, business strategy, and marketing efforts for the OTT sports platform.
“Hania has consistently demonstrated strong business and product acumen and exemplary leadership abilities throughout her career at Turner,” said Matt Hong, Chief Operating Officer, Turner Sports. “She is uniquely qualified to leverage the success she has had growing NCAA Digital, and the highly-acclaimed March Madness Live, to additionally lead Turner Sports’ and Bleacher Report’s new live sports OTT offering, B/R Live.”
Poole started at Turner back in 2005 as a strategist, before moving to the position of product management and new product development in 2007. In 2009, she became senior product manager at Turner Sports before making her way to VP of NCAA Digital in 2015.
