Ad-supported streaming service extends reach to millions of Comcast X1 customers
Tubi is increasing its discoverability in a new partnership with Comcast that will see the ad-supported service become integrated on the cable provider’s Xfinity X1 TV Box. Roll out will begin Thursday and will be available to all Comcast X1 users in coming days.
Under the new agreement, Tubi — which currently has more than 20 million downloads — is extending its reach to the millions of X1 customers currently subscribed to Comcast’s TV service. While consumers don’t need an X1 TV Box in order to access Tubi (because its already available through Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon’s Fire Stick ), its integration will place it front and center on the user interface of the TV Box, allowing it to stand out among the more than 200 streaming services available on the market.

This partnership adds to a strong period of growth for Tubi, which has seen view time on the platform increase by 1,800 percent since 2016.
