Ranking holds true in key demo and among total viewers
Fox’s “Paradise Hotel” revival came to an end Thursday with some less-than-heavenly Nielsen numbers, placing the network in fifth among broadcast’s primetime rankings for the evening — behind Spanish-language network Telemundo.
The two-hour “Paradise Hotel” finale settled for a 0.4 rating among adults in the key 18-49 range and 1.3 million total viewers.
Over on NBC, Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals scored the broadcast network the first-place trophy in both the key demo and overall eyeballs.
Due to the nature of live sports, the below fast-national Nielsen numbers for NBC should be considered subject to significant adjustment. That said, it should only go up.
NBC was first in ratings with a 1.5 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 5.2 million, according to preliminary numbers. That was all Game 5, where the St. Louis Blues took a 3-2 lead in their series against the Boston Bruins.
ABC was second in ratings with a 0.8/4 and in viewers with 4.7 million, airing only game show repeats.
CBS was third in ratings with a 0.6/3 and in viewers with 4.3 million. Following three sitcom reruns, “Life in Pieces” at 9:30 received a 0.6/3 and 4.2 million viewers. At 10, “Elementary” had a 0.5/2 and 3.7 million viewers.
Telemundo was fourth in ratings with a 0.5/3 and in viewers with 1.314 million.
Fox was fifth in ratings with a 0.4/2 and in viewers with 1.292 million. The network filled its entire block with the “Paradise Hotel” finale, which received the previously mentioned rating and total-viewer tally, plus a 2 share.
Univision was sixth in ratings with a 0.3/2 and in viewers with 1.1 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 665,000. At 8, “iZombie” managed a 0.2/1 and 718,000 viewers. At 9, “In the Dark” settled for a 0.1/1 and 613,000 viewers.
