Ratings: ‘Spartacus’ Slays in Finale

No overall record, but the show gets its biggest young adult audience yet

"Spartacus: Blood and Sand" wrapped up its first season with its best-ever ratings among adults 18-49.

In terms of overall viewership, Friday’s hour wasn’t a record — though the numbers were still great. The episode averaged just over 1.2 million million viewers, down a tad from the week before.

But in adults 18-49, "Sparty" wowed, with 724,000 viewers under 50 — the best yet for the show. Of course, Starz doesn’t care about demos quite as much as other networks since it’s not ad-supported.

"Spartacus" has already been renewed for a second season, though timing of its return is unclear right now due to its star’s cancer battle.
